“RECOVERY ROOM” Movie Premiere

“Recovery Room” is a feature documentary (75 min) telling the story of 2014-2015 Canadian medical missions to Ukraine. Composed entirely of volunteers, plastic surgeons and health professionals from Canada arrive at the Military Hospital in Kyiv to try to make a difference in the lives of wounded Ukrainian soldiers, victims of the Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine. They perform complex reconstructive surgical procedures resulting from sniper fire and explosions.

The Annual Vyshyvanka March 2017

The Annual Vyshyvanka March will take place on Saturday 20 May beginning at 4:00 pm with a gathering and march at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Forks, then then a friendly get together at Prosvita Hall with contests and entertainment. For more information, call 204-582-5939.
